Purple Warriors move to the next level...

I know it has been awhile since we last updated you all on the Purple Warrior Foundation but there is a good reason for that. We have been working diligently to become a non-profit for some time now and with the help from the Cherokee Preservation Foundation steering us in the right direction, we were able to attend the WNC Non-profit Pathways workshop where we were taught all the basics when starting our non-profit.

With all that being said the Purple Warrior Foundation has begun establishing our Board of Directors who are dedicated to the fight against Epilepsy & raising awareness here on the boundary.

In our first couple board meetings we have established the following for our long term goals for the foundation:

a. to provide awareness among the community about Epilepsy Awareness.

b. to provide support groups to accommodate the emotional needs of persons or families living with/affected by Epilepsy.

c. to provide financial assistance for routine doctor’s visits or medical emergencies

d. to sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote and encourage the education of Epilepsy(special Olympics, fundraisers, educational talks, etc.)

So, warriors please join me in welcoming the Purple Warrior Foundation Board of Directors:
